Many reach for a can of air fresheners but those compressed chemicals don\u2019t do much good for our health or the environment.<\/p>\n<p>In today\u2019s video, we\u2019ll check out a variety of inexpensive ways to create your own home deodorizer gels, without the risk of side effects.<\/p>\n<p>What You Need<\/p>\n<p>1 oz. unsweetened, unflavored gelatin<br \/>\n2 cups cold water<br \/>\n1 tbsp salt<br \/>\n20 to 30 drops essential oils<br \/>\nSmall saucepan<br \/>\nWhisk<br \/>\nDecorative heat-proof jars<br \/>\nChopsticks or skewers<\/p>\n<p>Optional additives<br \/>\nFood coloring to match your d\u00e9cor<br \/>\nA splash of vodka to prevent mold<\/p>\n<p>Preparation Instructions<br \/>\nPour 1 cup of water into saucepan<br \/>\nBring to a boil<br \/>\nNext, sprinkle in the gelatin<br \/>\nWhisk until it\u2019s dissolved<br \/>\nAdd salt, and the 2nd cup of water<br \/>\nWhisk<br \/>\nAdd your preferred oils, and food coloring, to a heat-proof jar<br \/>\nWhile the mixture is still hot, carefully pour into a jar<br \/>\nIf you added food coloring, stir until its well-blended<br \/>\nAdd a splash of vodka, if desired<br \/>\nAllow jar to cool uncovered<\/p>\n<p>Placing various gels throughout your home will eliminate unpleasant odors. <\/p>\n<p>Disclaimer: The materials and the information contained on Natural Cures channel are provided for general and educational purposes only and do not constitute any legal, medical or other professional advice on any subject matter.
